MYEcoPlan Low Carbon City Planning Tool – Eco-Ideal Consulting Sdn Bhd has successfully held the Completion Workshop under UKPact funding yesterday on 4 April 2023 at Aloft Kuala Lumpur Sentral.

This event marks the completion of Phase 2 of this project and showcased that the system has been successfully expanded to cover the entire Iskandar Puteri City Council (MBIP) and also replicated to Shah Alam City Council (MBSA), Pengerang Municipal Council (MPP) and Langkawi Municipal Council (MPLBP).

Several local authorities from Group 1 and 2 of the National Low Carbon Cities Masterplan’s Action Plan (NLCCM by GTALCC) that attended the event has showed interest in utilising the system after the system showcase during the event. As part of the key takeaways during the event, YBrs. TPr. Dr. Alias bin Rameli (Director General of PLANMalaysia) in his speech urged other local authorities to utilise MYEcoPlan in their preparation of development plans (such as structure, local, and special area plans), and help improve decision-making for future low carbon municipal developments.

MYEcoPlan is a web based tool to allow policy makers and urban planners to assess GHG emissions within their cities and also to simulate various low carbon planning scenario towards low carbon city development.
