Eco-Ideal Consulting Sdn. Bhd. has been appointed by Sustainable Energy Development Authority (SEDA) to conduct a study looking into possible waste minimisation and energy recovery for Putrajaya.

The 6 months study is part of the initiatives under the Green Technological Application for Low Carbon Cities (GTALCC) programme supported by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).

The study will include analysing waste composition and characteristics for household waste as well as waste generated from institutional, commercial and industrial sources. Part of the scope will also review the existing waste minimisation and recycling effort and review possible future waste to energy options which can lead to lowering of greenhouse gases emissions.
