The centralised livestock (swine) farming area in Pasir Puteh, Samarahan of Sarawak will be one of the largest integrated swine farming area in Malaysia.

With a large intensity of waste generated, the developer of area has decided to embark on the generation of biogas for energy from the waste generated. This advanced, environmental friendly investment, as opposed to the open lagoon system otherwise, will be one of the pioneers in the area of renewable energy from animal waste in Malaysia.

Such investment leads to reduction of Greenhouse Gases emission and thus eligible for alternative financing under the Clean Development Mechanism.

In association with Jurutera Jasa Sdn. Bhd., Eco-Ideal has been appointed the CDM consultant for this project, providing consulting services from project idea, CDM application, carbon trading as well as monitoring and verification.
