A Remote Pilot Certificate of Competency-BASIC (RCoC-B) drone training course was held for 5-days in Kuching, organized by the Drone Academy Asia (DAA). Drone Academy Asia is the first approved Remote Pilot Training Organisation (ATO-RPTO) by Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia (CAAM) under Regulation 64 of the Civil Aviation Regulations 2016 (MCAR 2016). The course was attended by our Manager, Mr. Mohamad Syafiq Bin Othman.

The RCoC-B course is a CAAM approved certification program. Throughout the 5-days course, the trainees are introduced and taught to understand the basic and current drone operation regulations in Malaysia, operating requirements, and procedures for safe flying of drones. Besides the theoretical class-learning, the Trainees had also experienced sessions of outdoor drone operating trainings with proper procedures in term of drone operations and safety, guided and monitored by the qualified DAA Drone Trainers.

Lastly, the trainees are evaluated on the practical in-field drone operating assessment as well as passing a standardized theoretical examination to obtain the certificate.
