Malaysia is a signatory to the Paris Agreement (Accord) under the United Nations Framework for Climate Change Convention. The Paris Agreement (Accord) is a global commitment to address climate change and limit the rise in global temperature by the year 2030.

Malaysia has recently submitted an update to its Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC), whereby Malaysia intends to reduce its economy-wide carbon intensity (against GDP) by 45%

in 2030 compared to 2005 level without any conditions. This marks an increase of 10% reduction as compared to earlier’s commitment (35%) without conditions of foreign financial and technical assistance.

Eco-Ideal is positive that such enhancement of confidence in greenhouse gases emission reduction will lead to more innovative and impactful carbon reduction opportunities within Malaysia. If you need any advice, contact us!
