2 May 2011 marks a major milestone in landfill gas CDM projects in Malaysia.

The first batch of CERs generated from Bukit Tagar Sanitary Landfill at Hulu Selangor has been certified and issued by the Executive Board of the United Nation Framework of Climate Change Conventions (UNFCCC). This makes Bukit Tagar the first landfill to have CERs issued in Malaysia!

Congratulations to KUB-Berjaya Enviro Sdn. Bhd. and special recognition must be given to the hardworking site operators who had worked day and night to ensure smooth operation of the landfill gas systems.
