In continue its initiatives, Selangor Waters Management Authority ( commonly known as Lembaga Urus Air Selangor, LUAS) has published the second version of river report titled State of River Report 2008 for 3 river basins – Sungai Selangor, Sungai Langat and Sungai Klang with assistance from Eco-Ideal Consulting.

The report is not limited to assessing the water resources and quality but also includes all the threats (pollution sources, etc.) towards the sustainability of the rivers. Similar to the previous 2006 version of the report, a series of indicators (including effort indicators such as enforcement) are used to present the status and development of the river.
The State of River Report 2008 presents an update of the river health, threats as well as the ongoing efforts and initiatives to improve the state of the river.
