As part of the requirement for undertaking Clean Development Mechanism (CDM), an open stakeholder meeting was held recently (30 June 2010) in Orient Star in Lumut, Perak to obtain input and comments on the proposed bio-diesel production plant in Lumut. The feedstock for the production will be waste oil and animal fats, instead of edible oil such as crude palm oi.

A total of 19 participants attended the meeting, represented different sectors i.e. government, non-government, project developer and CDM consultant.
