Landfill Gas Recovery and Utilisation CDM Project Registered!

The project, titled “Landfill Gas Recovery and Utilisation at Bukit Tagar Sanitary Landfill at Hulu Selangor, Malaysia”, was officially registered with the United Nations Framework Convention for Climate Change on 28 August 2009.

The project will reduce greenhouse gas emission via methane avoidance (flaring) as well as the replacement of grid power with renewable energy produced from the landfill gas.

Eco-ideal has provided full CDM consultancy to the project from PDD documentations, support to validation and registration as well as carbon trading advisory services. Eco-Ideal will continue to support this project for monitoring and verification.
