Background of KCC
- Initiated from a solid recycling seminar in 1999 organised by the Natural Resources and Environment Board (NREB) and the Council of Kuching South (MBKS)
- Was based on the success model of PJCC in Petaling Jaya, Selangor
- Non profit, community based organisation
- Officially launched by the Minister of Environment of Sarawak in November 2000

Eco-Ideal Consulting Sdn Bhd’s involvement
Eco-Ideal supports local community initiatives like the Kuching Community Centre (KCC) and has sponsored their website as part of our corporate social responsibility.
All recyclables from Eco-Ideal’s office are also sent to KCC and a few of our staff are active volunteers at the centre as well.
